Andrea Catalano, Exec. Dir.
Following her passion for social justice and public health, Andrea has worked in both the public and private sector. She lived and worked more than five years in Latin America and the Caribbean and has a deep admiration for the region and its people. Andrea holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University.
Tessa Reed
Tessa serves as OYE’s Executive Project Coordinator. Holding degrees in Global Health Studies and Spanish, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. A recipient of the Fulbright Grant in La Rioja, Spain, Tessa’s commitment to health equity and well-being is reflected in her diverse experiences in education, community development, and healthcare initiatives.
Otoniel Mecinas
Otoniel was a participant in Centro de Esperanza Infantil from age 12 until his graduation from the university. He has a degree in TIC engineering. He is a native and resident of Oaxaca, where he and works on communication projects and social media content. Otoniel is bilingual.
Andrea Billingsley
As accounting clerk, Andrea has been responsible for our accounting since 2012. She processes all donations, provides contribution acknowledgments, reconciles financial records, and prepares financial statements. Andrea lives in Arkansas.
Laurie Thompson
Laurie a consultant/mentor, offering support for outreach and visibility efforts. Laurie holds a master’s degrees in Social Sciences (Anthropology). After a career in Boston, Laurie made Oaxaca her home in 2005. Laurie also works as an editor, translator, yoga instructor and photographer
