Success Stories

I grew up in Xoxocotlán and come from a family of eight children. We didn’t have the resources to finance my education. While in college, I worked at a variety of jobs – at a stationery store after school, as a babysitter, and in a clothing store.

I joined CEI in my first year of high school, and with its help, we were able to get by with all my daily school expenses: transportation, food, and various materials.

I am graduating with a degree in pedagogy, and right after school, I will do my service in a rural community six or more hours away from Oaxaca.
